What to Expect With Coaching
Whether it is individual coaching or group coaching, we always begin with YOU!
The question, “What are you bringing with you today?” is what shapes each session as we explore together. You will share the situation or problem you would like to talk about and after listening, I will begin to ask some questions to help bring focus, clarity, or help you create solutions. These questions are targeted to whatever you are bringing and are designed to help you grow beyond your initial reaction or solution to what was presented.
A typical individual coaching session last 45 minutes and costs $100, but can be adjusted on a sliding scale. If you are a first call pastor in your first year of ministry, there is a deep discount for coaching, as the first year of ministry is especially difficult as you find your voice.
There is a month break between each session and can continue for however long we both agree on. Every six months, if we have been working together for a few months, will be a check in time to see if we are still working well together.
What to Expect With Group Coaching
Group coaching is designed and tailored to your council/board to help the group achieve its goals. Whether it is creating a new focus for the year, or getting unstuck when working together, or taking the group to the next place it wants to be. An outside voice to help the group can be incredibly useful as they process.
A group session will generally last an hour and will focused for that hour. This means, there are times we will need to keep moving.
Every group coaching session is done through contract with a set number of sessions, the goals for our time together, and an agreed upon cost.
